Ray Appleby
Raylene Appleby is the President of PJC Insurance Agency in Springfield, Missouri and a member of the Sunstar Insurance Group Executive Committee.  She began her insurance career, while attending Missouri State in 1972, as an Assistant Underwriter with Modern Security Life Insurance Co.  In 1978 she moved to Empire Bank, a member of the holding company, Central Bancompany.  After receiving her ARM, she became the Risk Manager/Employee Benefit Manager for the nine billion dollar holding company.  After 23 years with the banking entity, she moved to PJC Insurance in 2001, as CEO and became the President and Partner of Lance Smith In 2008.  PJC has grown to become one of the largest independent agencies in the Springfield area.  In September of 2016, PJC Insurance Agency became a member of the Sunstar Insurance Group.

Lance Smith
Lance Smith is the Executive Vice President at PJC Insurance Agency in Springfield, MO and a member of the Sunstar Insurance Group Executive Committee. He is a graduate of Missouri State University earning a degree in Finance and Insurance. Lance joined PJC in 1996 as a producer focused on the transportation insurance space. In 2004, he became a partner in the agency and began directing the transportation insurance division. In 2008, along with fellow partner Raylene Appleby, the remainder of the agency was purchased. He became a member of the Sunstar Insurance Group in 2016 with Sunstar’s acquisition of PJC. Lance was a charter recipient of the Transportation Risk Specialist designation and also holds the Associate in Insurance Services designation.

Blake Wixson
Blake Wixson is Vice President of Commercial Lines for PJC Insurance in Springfield, Missouri. He started his career with PJC Insurance in December 2011. He is a graduate from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Blake joined Sunstar in September 2016 when it acquired PJC Insurance.

Bob Meek
Bob Meek is the Senior Vice President for PJC Insurance in Springfield, Missouri. Bob grew up in Wichita, Kansas and started his insurance career in 1970, selling Accident and Health Insurance to farmers. In 1975 he became an agent for Kansas Farm Bureau Insurance and then went on to become an Agency Manager. In 1985 he moved his family to Springfield, Missouri where he started his career with PJC Insurance as a commercial producer.

Melissa Shelton
Melissa Shelton is a Vice President of PJC Insurance Agency in Springfield, MO and manages the personal lines department. She is a 2001 graduate of Arkansas State University. After college, she started her career in the insurance field working for an independent insurance agency in Mountain Home, AR. During her 4 years of employment there, she helped the agency open 2 satellite offices in other parts of the state. Melissa has been employed with PJC Insurance Agency as a personal lines producer since 2005. She joined Sunstar in September 2016 when it purchased PJC Insurance Agency.

Andy Ebbrecht
Andy Ebbrecht manages the Life and Health Department at PJC Insurance Agency in Springfield, MO. He is a graduate of Missouri State University with a degree in Administrative Management. After college, Andy went straight into the insurance field building up knowledge before he opened his own agency. In 2010, Andy was chosen as Dave Ramsey’s Endorsed Local Provider for Southwest Missouri. He joined PJC in 2016 tasked with the responsibility of managing the health, life and benefits for their clients. Andy joined Sunstar in September 2016 when they purchased PJC Insurance Agency.

Marc DeLaFuente
Marc DeLaFuente  started his insurance career with PJC Insurance in 2016 and is the Transportation Sales Manager. After attending Drury University, he had a 14 year sales career with Reliable BMW.  He was the BMW  Sales Manager, as well as a  Finance Manager.  He was ranked number 2 in sales for the central region with BMW in 2015.
